Coffee’s journey begins in the highlands of Ethiopia, where legend has it that a goat herder named Kaldi discovered the energizing effects of coffee beans when his goats became unusually lively after eating them. This discovery eventually made its way to the Arabian Peninsula, where coffee cultivation and trade began in the 15th century.
